10km Run
First run since my paragliding accident.
Ankle held up really well, left ITB got a bit sore but not too slow for a first run.

Peak 6: Mt Bradley
5hrs from Gebbies Pass up to Mt Bradley, via Packhorse Hut.
Beautiful walk through the forest, although quite muddy.
Pity about the cloud at the top which obscured most of the view.

Little River Rail Trail
Today's mini-challenge was to bike the entire length of the Little River Rail Trail (plus the 7km from home to the start in Hornby).

Peak 5: Mt Herbert, 919m
We definitely chose the hard way to do this walk, from Kaituna Valley, up to Packhorse Hut, and round the back of Mt Bradley through the snow to Mt Herbert. 6.5hrs and a touch of hypothermia later we got back to the car.

"Group" challenge no.1
So this week was Group Challenge One: SURVIVOR WALK. Unfortunately I didn't have a group, so decided to complete it so (my friend Debbie and her son's dog Lance came along as official 'group' photographer)!
The rules of the challenge were:
1. Walk five kilometres carrying a survival pack (contains 2 cans food, cold/wet weather clothing, 6L water, first aid kit, electrolyte drink, sleeping bag or survival blanket).
Extra points for:
1. The five km is done on predominately hilly terrain.
2. Push a pram with 15kg or a wheelbarrow with 5kg or more in it the whole way.
So this is me, walking from Zeroes cafe to The Sign of the Takahe and back, with my survival pack, pushing a wheelbarrow with 20kg of weights in it:
