My Journey


My journey started 6 years ago, when I weighed 112kg and just walking up a flight of stairs made me puff.
Since then I have made a whirlwind of changes, and after losing 12kgs in the last six months, I am now down to 75kg!

The Catch Fitness 20 Week Challenge will allow me to reach higher, run longer, have experiences that I previously thought were not possible, and achieve some amazing things through my 20 Adventures in 20 Weeks.

In my mission to become healthier over that last 6 years I've dabbled in a few different sports, but never really managed to stick to any plan for too long before I get injured, lose interest or generally fall off the wagon. I have planned my 20 Adventures in 20 Weeks to let me experience some new activities that I wouldn't otherwise try, pick up some ones that I have previously not given a chance, and set some goals that will stretch me to my limits.

20 Adventures:
1. Climb 20 Peaks in 20 Weeks
2. Run 20 runs over 10km
3. Cycle 20 rides over 30km
4. Swim 20 nautical miles (37km) - DONE!
5. Kayak 20km in a day - DONE!
6. Climb 20 different routes grade 17+ at The Roxx - DONE!
7. Climb a Grade 20 route at The Roxx - DONE!
8. Attend 20 spin classes - DONE!
9. Climb 20,000 steps carrying 20kg
10. Lose 20 lbs of body weight
11. Do 20 full pressups in one session
12. Do 20 sets of 20 situps in 20 minutes - DONE!
13. Lose 20cm from waist/hips/bust
14. Walk 20km in one day - DONE!
15. Run a 20km trail run - DONE!
16. Tramp for 20 hours
17. Lift weights for 2 days (48hrs in 20 weeks)
18. Run my first 10km running race - DONE!
19. "Pass" the NZ Army Fitness Test
20. Compete in 100km of racing - DONE!
